Brains are complex distributed systems made up of billions of neurons in-turn interacting with an adaptive civilisation, itself made up of many interconnected sub-systems such as societies, governments, economies, and cultures. But recent technological progress has changed the dynamics of these systems... forever. The last 300 hundred years of industrial progress is making way for the age of AI, and what can only be described as an intelligence revolution.
